‍In a world where everyone breathes and lives technology, Nif is one of the few creatives who sees technological innovation as a great tool to change the world. He started his career in the advertising industry as a Junior Developer with Tribal DDB in 2014, working in the background of many successful campaigns and executions of the agency, before becoming its pioneering Creative Technologist and UX UI Designer.He has grown from humble developer to a multi-awarded creative technologist, winning internal creative competitions and awards both locally and globally. He has shown and proven his mettle in using technology as a tool to empower creativity into changing minds and transforming lives. He is also one of the key people in reshaping Tribal DDB to be known as an innovative digital agency around the world by advocating design thinking into the agency’s creative process.

Nif is a Creative Technologist and UX Engineer in the advertising field but, most importantly, he describes himself as a dream-chaser by night. He first dabbled into travel photography in college, he explained, but it wasn’t until 2017 that he fully dove in when he was traveling to Japan for his first solo trip. “It was the perfect opportunity to get back into being a shutterbug so I impulsively bought a camera a week before my trip,” Nif shared. “From then on, my camera became my travel companion.”

Talking about what captivated him in travel photography, he says, “There is something about capturing scenic places and documenting people’s lives. […] Sometimes, even though you have already been in that place before, there is a new story that you can capture with a click of the shutter button.”

His tip for learning photographers: “Experiment until you figure out your own personal style. I curate mine into four themes I personally derived over the course of doing photography: colors, form, motion, and emotion. Curating your own “genre” can guide you to what or when to press that shutter button. Social media, especially Instagram, is your friend for inspiration. Above all else, just have fun learning the craft.”

Now, it's a job that some at youngest creatives are excelling in, and foremost among these is Enif Ruedas from Tribal DDB, who became the agency's pioneering creative technologists, Nif lives at the intersection of creativity and technology, and his work has not been left noticed, bagging awards in both local and international competitions.
