At DDB Group Philippines, I joined an 24-hour internal creative competition where my creative partner and I were tasked to tackle a pressing issue: the alarming rise of HIV cases among young adults in the Philippines. Partnering with LoveYourself Philippines, we set out to break the silence on a topic often deemed taboo—sex education and HIV testing—by crafting a campaign that would spark curiosity and action.
Our concept centered on a series of minimalist, provocative, and visually striking posters designed to catch attention in spaces like offices and clubs, where young adults frequent. The posters, vivid in color and bold in messaging, played on subtle yet thought-provoking imagery to encourage safe-sex practices and highlight the importance of getting tested. To amplify the reach, we adapted the designs for social media, providing links to LoveYourself’s website where viewers could learn more and book HIV tests with ease.
This campaign proved that creativity, when paired with purpose, can break barriers and inspire meaningful conversations. By combining vivid storytelling with impactful visuals, we created an unforgettable call to action that encouraged individuals to prioritize their sexual health in a society ready for change.
